Benji-Sales, a video game analyst, has tweeted the latest briefing for Sony’s presentation. He reveals that Sony has gained $60 million in revenue from Horizon Zero Dawn since it has released on PC, $22.7 million from Days Gone, and $26.2 million from God of War. This accumulates to $108.9 million from PlayStation’s biggest PC releases so far.

Sony also reveals that it has made $35 million in revenue in its 2020 fiscal year. Since then the growth has been massive with $80 million in revenue in the fiscal year 2021 which amounts to a 128.5% increase. This has led Sony to forecast a significant increase in revenue to $300 million in the fiscal year of 2022, which would be another 275% increase.

The news may be huge for PC players as they should now expect more and more PlayStation exclusive games to make their way to PC stores. “By expanding to PC and mobile, we have the opportunity to move from a situation of being present in a very narrow segment of the overall gaming software market to being present pretty much everywhere,” said Sony Interactive Entertainment President, Jim Ryan.

It is also worth noting that PlayStation is reportedly planning its own PC store as it brings more and more games over to PC. The company was looking for a new “Senior Director PC, Planning and Strategy” last month. The job description definitively states that the new executive will be tasked with optimizing PC sales growth as well as “identifying future sectors for growth and partnerships.”
