More Content Coming Anyway
Delays low-key suck. We all know that they happen so that the game or content will be better in the long run. Dying Light 2’s first paid DLC will be pushed back, but with all the other content coming along, you’ll hardly even notice.
Earlier on in Dying Light 2’s post-launch cycle, Techland Games has projected that the first DLC would be coming out in June. Unfortunately, that just won’t be happening.
Earlier today, Techland released an updated roadmap for post-launch content. There is a little more detail in what players can expect in the next few month. Updates include the photo mode, community events, new missions, rewards, and enemies, and Chapter 1: In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner. All of this will be free content.
Dear Pilgrims, your feedback always has the highest priority for us, and we want to be honest and transparent with you. We will still need a bit more time to develop the first story DLC. It is now planned to be released in September. pic.twitter.com/5XNe1uIC9u

The new release window for Dying Light 2’s first major DLC is now set for this Fall. No specific date or month is given, but players have a lot to get through before then. Around that same time, Chapter 2 will be coming out, which will be free content, like Chapter 1.
We have no specifics beyond the Fall, but as Techland has reiterated, there will be a long cycle of post-launch content. Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It will be coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date.
