Beneath Oresa, Roguelike Deckbuilder, Unleashes Demo Today

3D Roguelike Action

It’s time to deal some damage. Today indie game developer Broken Spear announced that their upcoming deck builder roguelike game, Beneath Oresa, is releasing a free demo today on Steam. In addition to the announcement of the demo, Broken Spear also unveiled a new gameplay trailer. However, the trailer isn’t the only look players will be getting at Beneath Oresa. Broken Spear is also happy letting players know that the roguelike will also be on display at PAX East this week.

Beneath Oresa is a roguelike deck builder set in a city forsaken by the gods. The game features 3D models and real action, responding to the cards you choose to play. Of course, as a roguelike, each run will be different. Starting a new run allows players to choose a character but also a companion. Each companion has unique powers to build devastating combos to defeat new challenges. Progressing through your run awards new cards, each of which are upgradeable through a forked upgrade system. As a result of these additions, diversity is essentially inherent in the game. Additionally the combat aims to be full of action with careful strategy going hand-in-hand.

The trailer gives players a glimpse at how the combat in Beneath Oresa looks. Additionally, players also see the art style and get a tiny bit of background into the game’s world.

The Beneath Oresa demo is available today on Steam. The full game is expected to release later this year. Of course, players can also get a look at the game at PAX East this week. So, are you ready to delve Beneath Oresa?
