Genre-Bending NORCO Officially Releases Today on PC

Indie publisher Raw Fury and video game developer Geography of Robots have partnered to release NORCO, a unique narrative adventure title. NORCO was first announced in January 2022 by the team. Raw Fury is known for releasing titles that provide gamers with emotional experiences while Geography of Robots explores South American life. NORCO officially releases today on PC and Mac via Steam and the Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, players can access the game’s First Act for free to see if they enjoy the game!

The game, which won the Tribeca Games Award, attempts to blur the boundaries between video games and art. The developers drew inspiration for the game from Louisiana, other areas of New Orleans and South Gothic literature. The pulp fiction aspects of the title create a unique, dark and immersive experience.

In NORCO, players will venture into a gritty, distorted version of South Louisiana where they must search for their missing brother following their mother’s death. Players will be accompanied by a fugitive security android and explore various areas including sinking suburbs, run-down strip malls and drainage ditches.

The game’s launch trailer gives fans some insight into its visuals, settings and themes. From the trailer, it is clear that the developers created a gory, depressing world for fans to explore.

NORCO is available on Standard and Special Editions. The Special Edition gives fans extra benefits along with the full game including an art book and an official soundtrack. The official soundtrack is a complete album by the metal band, Thou.
