Elden Ring Has Now Sold 12-Million Units Worldwide

That’s A Lot of Tarnished

The call of grace has seemingly been reaching many of you, brave Tarnished. Today, BANDAI NAMCO and FromSoftware Inc announced that their hit souls-like RPG, Elden Ring, has sold 12 million units globally. A press release provides the reactions of the presidents of both companies. Additionally, the official Elden Ring Twitter released a tweet thanking everyone who has purchased the game, and is experiencing the Lands Between.

Elden Ring allows players to explore the magical, albeit, ruinous land of the Lands Between. As a Tarnished, brought back from death, you will follow the guidance of grace on an adventure to become Elden Lord. In addition to a massive open world, written in cooperation with author George R. R. Martin, to explore, players have a great deal of choice to how they approach their playstyle. Obviously, the reception has been huge.

“It’s astonishing to see just how many people have been playing ELDEN RING. I’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the entire development team.” Says, President and CEO/ Director of FromSoftware, Hidetaka Miyazaki. “Thank you for your continued support.”

Indeed, the support for the game from both players and critics is slightly mind-boggling. Quickly becoming one of the highest-rated games in modern history it has, so far, been living up to the hype players had been hoping for.

“I am very proud to have been involved in bringing such a wonderful and fantastic game to life with FromSoftware, under the guidance of Director Miyazaki, and with George R. R. Martin.” Says Yasuo Miyakawa, President  and CEO of BANDAI NAMCO.

Have you been exploring the world of Elden Ring? What do you think about the game? Is it in your top ten?
