Said to Be Much Like Sony’s State of Play

Nintendo will be releasing its first Nintendo Direct of 2022. While it was only announced on February 8, 2022, the presentation is set to be coming out will be coming out on February 9, 2022.

first nintendo direct of the year happening tomorrow

This Nintendo Direct will be much like the Sony’s State of Play.  That is, this will reveal many of the games that will be coming out on the Switch in the upcoming first half of the year. However, there is also the hope that we will see a teaser for the Breath of the Wild 2. We do know that the game is set to come out in 2022 after all, though at the end of the year. But the hope is we will get to enjoy a teaser during this presentation.

The presentation itself is set to be forty minutes long and has yet to announce officially what games will be presented. But, it can be assumed that we may see news about Triangle Strategy, Splatoon 3, and Bayonetta 3. We may also get to see Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. But, that may end up being announced by Ubisoft instead, as the owners of Rabbids.

But, we could see more about Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land as both are set to come out sometime during the spring. We may even get solid dates as to when the two games are set to launch.

Breath of The Wild 2

There’s also some tentative hope for some new games being announced for the upcoming year- a new Fire Emblem title perhaps, or news about Mario Kart. But at the moment, there is no way to be certain what we may or may not see.

What we can tell you for sure though is that there will be a focus of games that are coming out in the first half of this year. And that the roughly 40-minute presentation will be taking place at 2 pm PT, or 5 pm ET, and can be either found on YouTube, or possibly on Twitch.
