Ghostwire Tokyo Releases Gameplay Deep-Dive Alongside Release Date

A Look at Ghostwire’s Tokyo 

It’s time to visit a Tokyo far different from the one we know in this world. Today Tango Gameworks and Bethesda share their upcoming action adventure game, Ghostwire Tokyo, and unveil a deep-dive of the gameplay. The in-depth gameplay provides players with more information about the story and action of Ghostwire Tokyo. In addition, the gameplay deep dive confirms a March release date. 

Ghostwire Tokyo places the player in an eerie version of Tokyo. In this Tokyo most of the population is vanished, gone into thin air. Instead the streets of the city are home to supernatural creatures, Visitors, deriving their images from Japanese folklore. The Visitors are terrifying and dangerous yet you are not alone or without defense. Joining the player is a dark spirit that provides you with magical powers known Ethereal Weaving. 

In addition to revealing the overarching story to players, the deep-dive gives a great glimpse at Ethereal Weaving. Using a variety of powers from fire blasts to mystic energy shots, there is a host of ways to dispatch supernatural threats. Additionally, the deep-dive makes it clear that multiple traditional weapons, such as a bow, are available to fight your way through the foggy streets of Tokyo. 

Despite the supernatural elements Tango Gameworks still aims to give the Tokyo of the game a true reminiscent feel of Tokyo. From the ultra-modern cityscape, to the exploration of the alleyways, Ghostwire reflects Tokyo in its design. Additionally, players who aim to adventure a little off the normal path will get rewards ranging from strange new characters, to further storylines to explore. 

Ghostwire Tokyo will be available on PS5 and PC March 25th, 2022. Additionally, players who digitally pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Ghostwire: Tokyo gain early access to the game and cosmetic items.
