Here’s How to Enjoy Some Dying Light 2 Co-op Action
Dying Light 2 is a great open-world zombie adventure. Much like the first one, it is also a game you may want to bring a friend along for. Thankfully, that process isn’t too difficult, but you will have to put in a little leg work to make it happen.
The first thing you have to do is actually unlock co-op. Dying Light 2 does not have it available from the start. You will have to play a little bit single-player first.
However, you won’t have to play too much alone if you don’t want to. You have to complete an early mission titled “Markers of Plague,” which you will do shortly after meeting Hakon. It is an early mission that you can expect to get to within the first couple of hours of the game. Completing this mission allows the world of Dying Light 2 to open up and will unlock co-op.
Once that mission is completed, now all you have to do is go into settings and change the co-op settings. Single-player is pretty self-explanatory. Choose that if you want to play alone. You can also select “open” which will allow anyone to join your game. “Friends” will only allow friends while “private” is similar but requires an invite.
Once your option is set, either send your friend an invite or go about your zombie-killing ways until somebody decides to join your session.
Dying Light 2 is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
