Halo Infinite players will soon be able to earn credits via the battle pass. I’m not sure why this wasn’t around since the beginning, but at least it is coming. These credits will be useable in the in-game shop, cosmetics, and a new Battle Pass. This update will come with the start of season 2 in May of this year.
343 Industries Head of Design Jerry Hook had this to say:
“Thanks to your continued feedback, we are happy to confirm Credits will be earnable in Season 2’s Battle Pass. That means you will be able to earn Credits as part of your Halo Infinite progression. We’ll have more to share on this as we get closer to Season 2.”
This goes alongside 343 Industries reducing pricing across the board. This week lowered the price of weekly bundles, while next week will focus on individual items. This is all certainly some good stuff as I was not a fan at all of Halo Infinite’s progression system, and it was a large turn-off for me. When these changes go live, I might just hop back in and give the game another go.
While this is great news, Halo Infinite is still struggling in some areas. Such as Big Team Battle, which continues to have matchmaking issues. In response to these issues, 343 Industries will remove any challenges that require BTB once they reset this Tuesday. It would be better if the problem was fixed, but this is good enough for now as they work on it. It wouldn’t do anyone any good to get challenges they can’t complete because a game mode isn’t working.
It’s good to see that 343 Industry continues to listen to the fans. They have some issues to iron out, but they are clearly working to fix them and make Halo Infinite the best experience they can.
