King of the Castle
If you are a Castlevania fan of the mid-90s, you will probably remember the games Rondo of Blood (1993) and Symphony of the Night (1997). The PlayStation 4 ports of these two games are part of Castlevania Requiem, which came out in 2018. Soon, fans will be able to get their mitts on a physical collector’s edition of this compilation.
Limited Run Games has put together a couple of bundles for hardcore Castlevania fans. Castlevania Requiem Classic Edition and Ultimate Edition come packed with goodies. Of course, if you just want the physical game, you can get that, which also comes with a poster.
The Classic Edition comes with a CD soundtrack of the two games, a reversible 18″x24″ poster featuring art from the two games, and a collector’s box with retro style art of games. The Ultimate Edition has significantly more items on top of what comes with the Classic Edition. It comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity, a steelbook case, a double-sided alternative game cover, Alucard’s sword and shield replicas, a Vampire Killer Chain pin, and a physical Save Point Coffin.
All of the items in the Ultimate Edition are packed into a collector’s box, which is also covered in sweet art. These items are not cheap though. The standard edition with its own poster costs $35, the Classic Edition costs $65, and the Ultimate Edition will run you $175.
If you pre-order your own, you will probably be waiting 8-9 months until it arrives. The game came out in 2018 though, so what’s another couple of months? Castlevania Requiem is available on PS4.
