11 Bit Studios Has Transitioned To Unreal Engine For Future Development
Epic Games has grown in fame and popularity over the past few years. The company is now known for Fortnite and the Epic Games Store. However, the team behind Epic Games had a major hand in the industry for its Unreal Engine technology. Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5 technology truly made games stand out. 11 Bit Studios has announced that it will officially transition to Unreal Engine for its future game development. Prior to this transition, 11 Bit Studios was utilizing its own proprietary technology.
11 Bit Studios was founded by Polish veteran developers in 2009 and since then, the company has developed many titles. Thus, some of the company’s titles include Frostpunk, This War of Mine and Anomaly 2. As part of the company’s new partnership with Epic Games, the developers will produce ten upcoming projects internally and externally under the publishing umbrella.
Therefore, the business relationship between the parties will allow 11 Bit Studios to freely select their Unreal Licence for each project. Furthermore, they will be able to offer the company to extend the number of projects in the future.
Moreover, Marszal, CEO of 11 Bit Studios, stated, “The imagination knows no bounds, and now with the Unreal Engine our possibilities are endless, too...The brand new tech of the 5th generation is impressive, and we’re excited that we might use it to its full potential in our new games. What we’re doing is Unreal!”
Also, the team has decided to give fans a little teaser into the world created using the technology. In a nine second teaser, 11 Bit Studios have showcased Project 8- A Moment of Unease.
