Sting was the lead singer of the popular ’80s band The Police. He has won 17 Grammy awards and has been nominated 45 times. Sting has also had a very successful career as a solo artist. He is a very well-known name in the music industry.

The song was featured in episode 9 of the show titled the “Monster you Created.” Fans were pleasantly surprised when they found out that Sting gave his vocals for the song. Riot definitely made a strange but good call on having him collaborate. It’s not every day a legend from the ’80s lends their voice to something video game related.

This isn’t the first time the Game Awards featured a mainstream music artist. Eddie Vedder from the ’90s band Pearl Jam performed at the 2020 Game Awards. He performed a cover of “Future Days,” a song from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II.

The 2021 Game Awards will be streamed on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and more at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on December 9.
