Hammerhead Strikes Again
In a recent livestream, Razer has revealed several new keyboard accessories for Razer keyboards and the Hammerhead True Wireless V2 earbuds.
The earbuds certainly look like a variant of the AirPods that most mimic, but I do prefer Razer’s darker color, and the Razer logo pops nicely on these. It will be interesting to see if these can challenge Apple’s AirPods.
Here are the key features of the Hammerhead True Wireless V2 earbuds:
- Razer Chromaâ„¢ RGB lightingÂ
- Active noise cancellation (ANC) with dual environmental noise canceling (ENC) microphonesÂ
- Comfortable in-ear silicone tipsÂ
- 32.5 hours of battery lifeÂ
- Low latency mode (60ms) for peak gaming performance.
With it being Razer, these are obviously going to appeal to gamers, but I don’t know about using earbuds for gaming. I guess if you play a lot on mobile. Or if the Switch would allow for Bluetooth.
I will say the price actually does make this an attractive offer. They are set to retail for $129.99, which isn’t bad at all for earbuds that include ANC with decent battery life.
However, the live stream revealed more than just these headphones, as Razer also showed off some new keyboard accessories, which are listed below:
Razer Phantom Keycap Upgrade set:
- Pricing: $34.99 USD
- Availability: Exclusively on Razer.com until September 11, then at Razer.com, RazerStores, and authorized retailers
Razer PBT Keycap + Coiled Cable Upgrade Set:
- Pricing: $49.99 USDÂ
- Pricing: $19.99 USD
Not a bad showing. I’ll actually give the Hammerhead True Wireless V2 earbuds a look as I use earbuds at work for about 8 hours a day, and I’m begging to need a new pair. I’m not sure I’ll actually ever use these for gaming.
