Outbreak Island’s Latest Gameplay Trailer Showcases Cool Elements and Gameplay
At Gamescom, tons of new announcements, trailers and footage were released to the world. Developers Hypetrain Digital along with publishers, Tiny Magicians also took the opportunity to reveal a gameplay trailer for Outbreak Island, its latest project. HypeTrain Digital is an indie company that developers video games for PC and consoles and has worked on games such as Police Stories, Breathedge, Stone Shard and The Wild Eight. The company is going to enter a new realm as Outbreak Island takes players on a unique journey in a desolate location.
The narrated trailer commences with sinister feel before going into a narrated portion that shows off the calmer aspects of the Island as viewers see tents, campfires and innocent deer roaming the area. As the trailer goes on, the concept of flash photography is introduced and more exciting areas and situations unravel including gunfights, melee weapons and more.
Outbreak Island follows the journey of Detective Howard Chapman, who ends up on the desolate, deserted island following a mysterious event that drove the population of Erslen Island crazy. Unfortunately, players are tasked with the grueling job of investigating the cause of the event, and more importantly, surviving through the journey.
Some of the game’s features include wielding a handy camera that can distract infected and be used to gather evidence. Players will also be able to craft equipment, medicine and weapons to assist them on their trips and can choose to navigate the island stealthily or simply fight face to face. The camera’s evidence is key to solving the mystery at hand.
Outbreak Island has no confirmed release date just yet, however fans can wishlist it on Steam here.
