New Perks, Gulag and More Coming In Call of Duty’s Warzone Season 5

Two New Perks, A New Gulag and More Content Will Be Coming To Warzone In Season 5

Raven Software has been leading the development of Call of Duty: Warzone and although there has been an onslaught of criticism recently due to the game’s relentless cheaters, the company has done a great job at weapon balance. Over the past few months, Raven Software have made serious meta changes and Season 5 continues the trend as two new perks have been added to further change the meta.

The first perk is Combat Scout. Combat Scout gives players in-game intel as foes who are hit are highlighted in orange and automatically pinged. It will greatly assist teams who are able to communicate effectively and can help aggressive players in pushing teams that are camping.

The second perk is Tempered. Tempered changes the armor values in Warzone as Armor Plates become heavier and reinforced. Essentially, if a player equips tempered, only two plates are necessary to be fully armored compared to the usual three. This is an interesting perk that aggressive players may prefer as it may save them time in critical fights. However, as the perk falls into slot 2, will players choose it over Ghost, High Alert and Overkill?

Season 5 will also introduce a new gulag into the game as Rush, a speedball arena gives players the final opportunity to survive the battle. Rush is a map with a ton of cover, so quick movement and skills would be useful. Furthermore, Red Doors and Mobile Broadcast Stations will both be in the game and will offer rewards, at a cost.

In Warzone, players will be able to choose from three new operators namely Kitsune, Striker and Hudson along with four new weapons, the Tec-9, EM2, Cane and the Marshal.
