It Lives And Is Out Now
Axiom Verge is a great Metroidvania released back in 2015, and many fans have been clambering for a new game. Finally, six years later, Axiom Verge 2 received a stealth release during the Nintendo Indie Showcase and is out now on PlayStation 4, Epic Game Store, and the Nintendo Switch.
If you are a fan of Metroid, this Axiom Verge is a hard game to pass up, and I’m sure the sequel will be just as interesting. A great, dark, and atmospheric game, it is very reminiscent of 2D Metroid games and gladly wears its inspiration on its sleeve while still retaining its own style and not feeling like a clone.
Axiom Verge 2 is out NOW for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and EGS!

I feel this is important for you to know because, at least on the Nintendo Switch store, it has a garbage description:
The long-awaited sequel to Axiom Verge, Axiom Verge 2 expands on the universe with completely new characters, abilities, and gameplay.
I mean, it isn’t a wrong description. You just better be completely aware of Axiom Verge if you are going to have an understanding of this description.
I’m just happy to see Axiom Verge 2 released. It was announced at a 2019 Indie World Showcase, making it very appropriate to come out now during another Indie World Showcase, but it was one of many games hit by the COVID delay bug. It is just a difficult time to release a game. Or a game console.
Really, I just can’t wait to actually play Axiom Verge 2. What I can wait for is the loud subset of gamers that I’m sure will whine very loudly about the Epic Game Store PC exclusivity. It never fails.
Have you played any of Axiom Verge 2 yet? Are you going to? Let us know down in the comments, or hit us up on Twitter or Facebook.
