DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power Hits Switch Next Week

And Super Not-Hero Girls

Earlier this year, the beat ’em up/life sim DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power was announced. Based on the TV series DC Super Hero Girls, this game will have you take on the roles of the super heroine team comprised of Supergirl, Bumblebee, Zatanna, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. Between balancing a social life and school, you will be fighting street thugs and super powered baddies. We are a week out from the game’s release and now that we have a better look at the game, we also see that we have the opportunity to fight as some of the villains.

DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power

Not every villain can be Darkseid or Lex Luthor. Like the heroes’ team, some of these characters are not the A-list names you might be used to. In addition to Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman, you can play as some of the less popular villains such as Livewire AKA Leslie Willis, Star Sapphire AKA Carol Ferris, and Giganta AKA Doris Zeul.

In addition to the clothing customization, social media, and photo/selfie modes, we also see that there is a city (re)building aspect to the game. I wonder how it got like that? Completing side quests and other objectives make it easier to build the neighborhood they way you want to. There also appears to be a player customization mode, so at some point, players may be running around and saving the city as their own super hero. DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power comes out on June 4th exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
