PlayStation to Give Away Horizon Zero Dawn and 9 Other Games for Free

Horizon Zero Dawn, Enter the Gungeon, and More to Be Available as Free Downloads

Last month, Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO, Jim Ryan announced that the company would be giving away more free games as part of its Play at Home campaign with the first new title, Ratchet & Clank releasing earlier this month. Today, PlayStation has announced 10 more free games coming to the Play at Home line-up, nine of which will be available next week on March 25.

The new titles were announced by Ryan in a new blog post made to PlayStation’s website.

“PlayStation and some of our favorite indie partners are collaborating to provide more free games to explore while you’re staying safe and staying home”

The line-up coming March 25 features a variety of popular indie games, including Enter the Gungeon, Subnautica, and Abzû –as well as some titles compatible with PS VR including Moss, Thumper, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission.


The complete list of titles is as follows:

  • Abzû
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Rez Infinite
  • Subnautica
  • The Witness
  • Astro Bot Rescue Mission (PSVR)
  • Moss (PSVR)
  • Thumper (PSVR)
  • Paper Beast (PSVR)

The games will be available to download for free on March 25 at 8:00 pm PT until April 22 at 8:00 pm PT. In addition to the new games, the previously announced Funimation extended trial will also be available from March 25 to April 22.

While there will be additional details to follow, this offer is only available to our community who sign up for and download the Funimation (in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand) or Wakanim apps (in most of Western and Northern Europe) starting on March 25 for a limited time.”

Finally, the 10th game and final game for Play at Home’s spring line-up is Gorilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition. The complete edition includes the base game and the Frozen Wilds expansion and will be available as a free download from April 19 at 8:00pm PT until May 14 8:00pm PT.
