I Also Expect You to Die
Enclosed within, you will find details critical to your upcoming mission in virtual reality. Earlier in 2021, developer Schell Games announced its sequel to I Expect You to Die. I Expect You to Die’s title is an obvious nod to the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger. As such, the game plays very much into the spy trope of secret missions using high tech devices disguised as unassuming items. I Expect You to Die 2: The Spy and the Liar is expected to come out this year and we have now heard that it will be out on PSVR.
In January, the supporting platforms for I Expect You to Die 2 were still to be determined, but now we know at least one of them. The first game came out on pretty much all major VR platforms such as PSVR, Steam VR, Vive, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Quest. Being as successful as it was, it would make sense that these devices would want the series to return for another round. There will likely be more announcements for other supporting VR headsets coming soon.
I Expect You to Die 2 takes place after the events of the first game where you supposedly die in the final mission. Though you may have expected to die, you in fact survive and will be going undercover for the missions in the sequel. I Expect You to Die 2: The Spy and the Liar is slated for a 2021 release on PSVR.
