Free Fitness Boxing 2 Update Celebrates Sales Milestone

More Fitness Instructors to Whip You Into Shape

In early December of 2020, Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm and Exercise came out for Nintendo Switch. If you immediately think to compare it to Ring Fit Adventure, you’re not the only one. They both target the same kind of demographic and serve the same sort of purpose. Though Ring Fit Adventure has had a head start on its release, Fitness Boxing 2 recently celebrated its 500,000th copy sold. To commemorate this occasion, developer Imagineer has released some free content to keep the blood pumping.

There are a few parts to this content update. The first is three new fitness instructors named Martina, Janis, and Sophie. This brings the total number of instructors to nine, in case you just weren’t vibing with the first six. The chemistry between instructor and athlete is important, even if the instructor is CG. The second part is actually for those who do not even have the game. Similarly to how some dance games have videos on YouTube for people to dance along to without the actual game, Imagineer has released a video of a workout for people to train with. It is entirely in Japanese, but you can probably figure it out.

The third part of the free content is a little out there, but coming from Japan, it makes more sense. “Demon Mode” is where one of the base game instructors, who is more gentle than the rest, takes on a demon form and drives you in a harsher tone. Maybe she’ll step on me if I’ve been bad enough. Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm and Exercise is out now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
