Metacritic Users Aren’t Happy With Cyberpunk 2077

Metacritic Users Turn on CD Projekt Red

Whether it be through review bombing or CD Projekt RED fans who are genuinely disappointed by the release of Cyberpunk 2077, it looks like Metacritic users are vastly underwhelmed by the cross-generational game. Like those who play ethereum roulette, the title fares quite well on PC, where reviewers gave it 90 out of 100, while users only give it 6.5 out of 10. On the PS4, Metacritic users have scored Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 out of 10, while Xbox One gamers rank it a little higher at 3.1 out of 10. Cyberpunk 2077 is available right now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, and PC.

User reviews for Cyberpunk 2077 were only made available on the day the game released, December 10th, but users are already flocking to the aggregated review score website to voice their displeasure of the game at launch. CD Projekt RED continues to update the game to fix the bugs gamers are encountering, and thanks to the game already being profitable it looks like they’ll have unlimited resources to do so.

“This game is not optimized, the graphics are horrible, everything seems outdated and the image is blurry,” said one Metacritic user who went to the site to review bomb but had valid criticisms. “The game is full of bugs, the controls are awful and wasn’t polished by far enough for the launch. The fps varies between 11 and 17 and this is impractical. A terrible experience for those who have the base version of the consoles.”

“Unplayable framerates that dip towards the 10 fps region, NPC’s and objects clipping through walls, texture pop-ins,” said a disappointed Metacritic user who claimed to be a big CDPR fan.  “T poses, absolute disgusting graphics that make you think you’re playing a PS3 game, countless bugs. It’s a broken mess.”
