A New Horizon Indeed
This may be overly optimistic or wishful thinking, but we will all be celebrating New Year’s differently this time around. RIGHT? We may be celebrating with our immediate family, roommates, over Zoom with everyone’s countdown being different, or alone, and that’s okay. Through most of the 2020 months, we have had Animal Crossing: New Horizons, in which we creatively used its gameplay elements and items to make our time in quarantine and lockdown a bit easier. Why not use Animal Crossing as a way of celebrating the dawn of 2021 as well?
There are seasonal items available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons using your Nook Phone. Nook Shopping can deliver all sorts of items to players for this occasion, though you can celebrate anyway you want to. Not even Nook can stop you. Like many items, some are only available in certain parts of the world for certain times, so now is actually the best time to gather with long-distant friends to complete your collection of items. Two items you can get anywhere in the world include a Sparkling Cider champagne and 2021 Celebratory Arch of balloons. Some items from different regions are made up of special dishes from Japan or Russia or Spain. Have a potluck or something.
Hi, everyone! If you’re looking for fun ways to ring in the new year, I hear that Nook Shopping is offering all kinds of neat items from around the world right now. I’m personally looking forward to some New Year’s noodles. Yum! Get those orders in ASAP! pic.twitter.com/wlmBTiegga

A bit of a warning when buying from Nook Shopping: keep in mind delivery time. For some reason, even in a game like Animal Crossing, you have to wait for your items to arrive. That’s one aspect of reality I do not appreciate in this game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
