Will We Miss Them Though?
Last month, in anticipation for PS5 games and PS4 games on PS5, Sony released a list of games that players should expect not to work on PS5. They did their darnedest, but there are just some games that just had to be left behind. Now that PS5 has officially launched, we are finding out that there are some more PS4 games to add to that list that do not work on PS5. We have only found about six new ones though and judging by which ones they are, we don’t think too many players will be bummed out.
Like your ol’ pal Zane, you may be hearing about these games for the first and last time. The games that have recently been discovered to not work are The Gardens Between, Golem, Pool Nation, Tower of Time, and YIIK: A Postmodern RPG. PixelBOT EXTREME! was part of that list, but developer PlayHeart Games has since fixed whatever issue was with their game, so all you PixelBOT fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
It seems that these games that fall through the cracks tend to be smaller, less notable games. To that point, there probably won’t be too many people upset by this. There are also a lot of these games on the PlayStation Store, so we may be finding more and more whose developers just haven’t made the necessary adjustments to their game to make the jump or do not support the game anymore.
