Ubisoft Details Ubisoft Club Cross-Progression
Ubisoft recently combined its aging Uplay service and the Ubisoft Club services into one free service known as Ubisoft Connect and Ubisoft gamers can carry their saves from one platform to another with the service. The cross-progression is being offered in titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion, letting gamers move their save in one rich open world on one platform to another. Ubisoft Connect is available for free right now for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Mobile.
While your saves in a Ubisoft title will carry from one platform to another thanks to Ubisoft Connect, any additional content that is purchased on the platform’s storefront will not be accessible unless gamers own the content on all platforms they play on. For example, fans of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that purchase the season pass on Xbox One will not be able to play through the season pass content on their PS4 unless they purchased the season pass on both platforms.
“Any item that is dependent on the Season Pass will be removed from your inventory when you start playing on a different platform. Once you return to the platform where you own the Season Pass, they will be returned to your inventory… Content that was purchased in the in-game store with Helix credits will be accessible across different platforms… Any items and in-game currency that you find will be available for you to use when switching to a different platform as long as your latest save game was success transferred.”
