Here’s a Taste of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends’ Co-Op Modes

We Will All Be Legends

If you’ve been following us for any amount of time, you know that we love Ghost of Tsushima. We love how much effort the team put into accurately portraying medieval Japan, we love the post-release content, we love the possibility of it running at 60 FPS on PS5, and we especially love petting foxes. As of October 16th, update 1.1 brings us Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which introduces a hoard of must-have content: dog-petting, new game plus mode, a treasure trove of new trophies, and, most importantly, two new multiplayer modes. You know what that means! You can now pet foxes–and doggos–in the same space as up to three of your friends! Sucker Punch knows what the people want.

Legends can be accessed by talking to an in-game NPC or through a menu. Either way, it will subject you to an unskippable tutorial, but that’s okay. It’ll give you time to get used to the four new classes: the melee combat-focused Samurai, a traditional combat-focused swordsman; the headshotting marksman Hunter; the stealthy and dishonorable Assassin, and the unquestioned best class Ronin. They can summon spirit dogs, which you can then pet. It’s no contest.

The first multiplayer mode is a series of narrative-driven campaign missions you can play with a friend in co-op. The second is a survival gauntlet where up to four players struggle to survive and protect key positions against endless waves of increasingly difficult foes. In other words, there’s something for everyone. And even if these options don’t float your boat, we’ve heard that a raid mode will be added in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for more legendary updates.
