Devolver Digital’s Disc Room has gone gold! The bloody puzzle gem is hitting PC and the Nintendo Switch on October 22nd. To celebrate, Devolver released a short video digging into the guts of this evisceration-centric title. Lot of hapless fools getting buzzed into ribbons in this one. Real ‘clean up on aisle four’ kind of vibes.
Disc Room is the brainchild of a tiny four-person development team, previously known for their work on Minit. Kitty Calis, Jan Willem Nijman, Terri Vellmann, and DoseOne all weigh in on the game during the short video embedded below. Apparently there’s a strong mystery and puzzle solving vibe being explored here? I was honestly expecting nothing beyond the constant threat of dismemberment. It’s a pleasant surprise, to be sure.
There’s no shame in being sliced into bits. In fact, it’s a great chance to learn some new abilities. Also, some of the challenges laid out before you require dying in very specific ways.
