Wouldn’t Be a FNaF Trailer Without a Jump Scare
The Five Nights at Freddy’s train just keeps on rolling, but as long as people still keep paying for the ride, the wheels won’t stop. Idea: the final game should be called Fight Night at Freddy’s where the protagonist takes the fight to the animatronics. Either the eighth or one millionth game in the main series, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach was announced this week. It will be a timed console exclusive for PlayStation. A teaser trailer was released alongside the reveal.
The trailer has a female voice trying to coax “Gregory” out from a hiding place (that’s us!). Gregory is heard sniffling and trembling, because at this point in the series we are expected to still be very scared. This voice is supposedly a new villain. The camera is dragged through the setting of the game, passing through areas of the building that players will no doubt become familiar with in the game. We also see statues, cutouts, and the actual animatronics of the different characters that will be hunting players. A bit of a twist is that we hear the voice of one of the animatronics that is supposedly allied with Gregory.
The teaser does not specify a release date or release window, but the game has been speculated to release in 2020. The clock is ticking on that though. The teaser does end by saying that Security Breach will be coming out on PC, PS4, and PS5, and will be exclusive to those platforms for three months after its release.
