Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Trailer Is Going Loud

We Operate in the Streets of Miami

For a game that is meant to follow the action that takes place out of the public eye and in secret, there is a lot of conflict in the public eye and out in the open. Yesterday, Activision released a trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Just call it Cold War; it’s a mouthful. Ignoring the fact that black ops are supposed to be under the radar and secretive, the intense firefights and disregard for low-profile action is probably exactly what Call of Duty fans are looking for in this game.

This trailer takes us all over the world. We see conflict in the streets of Miami, in the North Atlantic sea, in the desert of Angola, on the snowy mountains of Uzbekistan, and in the forests of the Ural Mountains. There is action on foot, on boats, sea doos, ski doos, mountain bikes, and ATVs. It’s basically Expendables: The Game, except the Expendables game was more like a twin-stick shooter. The trailer ends with a November 13th release date. You can play the beta by pre-ordering a digital copy, which will begin on October 8th for PS4 owners.

While this is the multiplayer trailer, it does not appear to be PVP, like we saw in the leaked footage last week. Instead this seems to be more of a story-based co-op mode, or at least the trailer is shot in a way that makes it look like it. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (COD Blops CW?) will be available on November 13th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
