Still No Release Date Though
After years of waiting, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is finally, probably, coming out sometime this year. Even though we still don’t have a concrete release date, we are getting these delightful console retail editions pictured below. They even come with a tiny charm!
The Divine Edition comes with an outer box, a full-sized artbook, a three disc soundtrack, and the omamori charm, for good luck. Both versions will be available to pre-order sometime soon. Hopefully this pre-order date is also when we get a concrete release date? A little spot on our calendars we can mark, and look forward to? Perhaps? One can dream.
If you’re unfamiliar with Sakuna, the game is equal parts action platformer and farming sim. As the rice goddess, your job is to ensure good harvests while also slaying the beasts who would lead your worshipers to starvation and suffering. For every rice crop successfully planted and harvested, Sakuna grows in strength. Your flock of devotees can even whip up gifts for you, if they’re happy enough with your work.
