Bandai Namco’s Tales of Arise Delayed Due to COVID-19

Tales of Delay

We have been waiting for a new Tales game for almost five years, but it looks like we will have to wait even longer. A couple of days ago, Yusuke Tomizawa, the producer of Tales of Arise made an announcement on Bandai Namco’s blog. Though we had been expecting Tales of Arise sometime this year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Tomizawa stated that their game will have to be delayed due to COVID-19. We have not seen or heard much about Tales of Arise since its reveal last year, but we will just have to take their word for it that it needs more time.

Tales of Arise Delayed

If you have read one COVID-19 delay announcement, you’ve read most of them. This one follows a similar pattern to most of the others. We value our fans, we want to give them the best experience possible, 2020 has been very hard, we’ve decided to take more time to deliver a more polished product. That’s the gist of it, but you can read the full statement on Bandai Namco’s website.

While this may be a disappointment to fans of the series, Bandai Namco is offering easy access to the sweet new wallpaper above. Tomizawa specifically says, “Feel free to download this image and use it as a reminder for what’s to come for PC background or remote meeting,” which probably isn’t meant to sound as teasing as it comes across. Still, that’s something right? Tales of Arise was set to come out sometime this year, but will likely be pushed back to 2021 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
