New Update Released For Skater XL

More Boards, Mini Ramps, and Transition Grinds

This is a good year for skateboard-centric gamers. Beyond Tony Hawk’s return to form, Skater XL is inching ever closer to a proper release on PC and consoles. In anticipation of this  event, new updates have come out for the game. They’re ready right now on Steam Early Access!

Skater XL

The newest additions to Skater XL include more board customization options, a mini-ramp stage to mess around in, and the addition of Transition Grinds. You can check out the new features in the early access trailer embedded below. If you’re on the fence about diving into an early access skate game, just know that they’ve been cooking this one for a good while now.

In fact, the game entered Steam’s early access program in December of 2018. Since then, Skater XL has been continually tweaked and adjusted, leading to a skate simulation players can rally behind. Rather than focus on content expansion prior to release, Easy Day Studios has trained their eye on gameplay and controls. This means that the Early Access version of the game is threadbare, but smooth as butter, control-wise. If you’d rather wait for the full meal deal, you won’t have to wait long. Skater XL is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch on July 7th, 2020.
