The Warden & The PaunchÂ
The latest DLC expansion for Total War: Warhammer 2 is set to release later this month. Called The Warden & The Paunch, this new campaign is going to allow the player to take part in a bitter rivalry between the High Elves and Greenskins. There is no details on how long this new campaign is going to be, but judging from previous expansions, fans should expect a lengthy adventure with tons of twists and turns.
New heroes are not going to be the only thing that will be added to the game. Both the High Elves and Greenskins are going to have access to a handful of new units. The Greenskins are going to be focused more on Goblins units and monsters whereas the High Elves will gains access to units such as Lion Chariots. A welcome addition to an already extensive roster.
The release of the DLC is also going to give everyone with Total War: Warhammer 2 a free new hero, Prince Imrik of Celador. So regardless of whether or not you buy this expansion. There is going to be something in this for everyone.
Both Warhammer Total War games have been very well received by the community. There was a lot of concern that the departure from the historical realism that the Total War franchise is known for would not pay off. But thankfully the revival of the dead tabletop game has been a resounding success. The amount of variety between the various factions is astounding. If you are a fan of high fantasy or not, there is a bound to be a playstyle that suits your own personal taste.
The Warden & The Paunch is scheduled to release on May 21st on Steam for $9 (USD).
