Six New DLC’s Are on Their WayÂ
Civilization VI has a bright future ahead of it. There is going to be a metric ton of new content for the title that is apart of the New Frontier Pass. This will act as a sort of bundle or season pass that will give players a total of six new expansions over the course of a year.
New Frontier will come with everything from new factions, game mechanics, and scenarios. As anyone who has bought and played DLC from previous Civilizations games will tell you, the vast majority of the expansions that are released are a worthwhile investment. It is not common for a faction to come with a playstyle that is totally unique and original. While certain titles pump out “new” content that is hardly distinguishable from the vanilla game, thankfully Civilization has no such shortcomings.
The fact that Civ 6 has been out for almost five years and is still getting notable expansions made for it is a testament to the impeccable gameplay mechanics that the series is known for. The turn-based strategy game that was arguably pioneered by Sid Meier has proven to be one of the most durable and addictive ever created. While strategy games might not be for everyone, it will always be hard to put down a game of Civilization.
The first wave of expansions to set to kick off this month. Judging from the title of the “Maya and Gran Columbia” this new DLC pack is going to introduce two new Mesoamerican factions alongside a new Apocalypse game mode. Another expansion that is going to focus on Ethiopia will debut in July. All future DLCs are still a mystery at this point in time.
Civilization VI is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
