Previously on Mortal Kombat…
As you may well know, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is an expansion on Mortal Kombat 11. It is a mix of story and multiplayer DLC. While the events that take place during each installment of the franchise are often overlooked, the story is actually pretty interesting, and pretty important to the game. If you don’t know anything about it, that’s fine. In preparation for Aftermath, NetherRealm Studios has provided fans a bit of a recap so they can get caught up on where in the story the expansion begins.
I’m sensing a theme here. Almost all of the Aftermath-related videos to come out have been narrated by Johnny Cage. It makes sense though; he is a bit of a goofball and can dumb it down to make the details more digestible. He tells of the main parts of Mortal Kombat 11 like the different timelines merging and how Raiden gave his god powers to Liu Kang so that he could defeat Kronika. Then Johnny moves on to their plan to fix the timeline and the uneasy alliance they are forced to make with Shang Tsung.
Tomorrow’s the big day. The Aftermath expansion comes out which includes RoboCop, Fujin, and Sheeva as playable characters, three skin packs, and the new story. Players who already have Mortal Kombat 11 can download it, but new players can get the Aftermath Kollection, which includes the expansion, the base game, and the Kombat Pack. Mortal Kombat 11 is available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and Nintendo Switch.
