Is Microsoft Working on a Next-Gen Stealth Game?
A recently discovered LinkedIn resume description for the profile of a former The Initiative technical designer gave a hint at the genre of a project that the first-party Microsoft studio worked on.
While working at The Initiative, developer Christopher Ng had worked on “various weapons, gadgets, and a camera surveillance system for an unannounced project.” The project sounds like a stealth game but it could just as easily be an action game with stealth elements instead or even an RPG.
No games from The Initiative have been officially announced since the studio was revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference but multiple developers who’ve worked on high-profile games such as 2018’s God of War have been hired there. This recently discovered LinkedIn description gives a significant hint at what type of game The Initiative has been working on for the last couple of years.
