Full-Course Game
When a game reaches the end of its post-content release cycle, it is bittersweet. On one hand, no more DLC will be coming out, but on the other hand, there is often a bundle of some sort. It usually comes as a Definitive Edition of Game of the Year Edition, but when there is room to be creative, we get a title like Overcooked 2 Gourmet Edition. Overcooked developer and publisher Team17 has announced that Overcooked 2 will be getting a bundle where players can get the base game with all the other major DLCs.
The main DLC that this bundle will come with are Surf ‘N’ Turf, Campfire Cook Off, Night of the Hangry Horde, Carnival of Chaos, and Too Many Cooks, which introduces 5 additional chefs to play as. The base game comes with a total of 45 main and bonus levels. The DLC levels brings the total of the bundle to 130 levels. Overcooked 2 Gourmet Edition is already out digitally for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. PC players will be able to get the oven mitts on it later next week.
The Overcooked games are known for their chaotic gameplay, especially in co-op modes. Unfortunately, there is no cross-play between platforms and it does not look like it will be changing for the Gourmet Edition. Over the post-content cycle of the game, Overcooked 2 has received a bunch of free event updates and they will be included in the Gourmet Edition as well. Overcooked 2 Gourmet Edition is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and will be available on PC on April 16th.
