New Overwatch Hero Echo is Only Days Away From Making Her Debut

Echo Becomes Available on April 14th

Overwatch has introduced a ton of new characters over the years but it feels as though Echo has to be one of the most unique to date. This new hero turned heads when she was originally announced and the hype that is surrounding her has not died down in the Overwatch community. Echo offers a dizzying array of combat abilities that are going to make her an instant favorite of long time players. There seems like there is going to be a bit of a skill gap when using her. New players probably should take there time learning the basics first.

Overwatch Echo

Echo is going to be a damage hero. The name should be obvious, but this means it is going to be her job to take out enemy players and deal damage. Pro-tip. She has the ability to float around the map in a much more similar way to Mercy but instead of healing friendly heroes, she will be punishing opponents who are not paying attention and stray a little too far from the pack.

Fans’ reception of her has been mostly positive. However, there are those who are worried about her ultimate ability that looks like it might be a but overturned. Called “Duplicate” this ability is going to allow the Echo player to create a copy of an enemy hero. Once Echo morphs into this hero she becomes impossible to kill for a short amount of time. On top of that, she can also get the ultimate ability of whatever hero she turned into in a matter of seconds. It is also possible for the enemy’s ultimate to be reused multiple times. As you could imagine, this has made a few people nervous.

Echo becomes available on April 14th.

Overwatch is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
