Developers Making Seinfeld Point-And-Click Adventure

A Point-And-Click Based on the Seinfeld TV Show Is in Development

For the first time in history, a point-and-click adventure based on the hit TV drama Seinfeld is in development. Gaming developer Jacob Janerka and animator Ivan Dixon have united to create an adventure game based on Seinfeld and they recently released some footage of their upcoming indie title. The game lets players control Jerry, George and Elaine through various locations from the hit TV show from the early 90’s. There are no platforms currently announced for the unlicensed adventure but we hope to see it on PC at the very least.

According to developers Jacob Janerka and Ivan Dixon, this point-and-click adventure title is a passion project that may not see the light of day officially as the biggest struggle is attaining the necessary rights to use the IP. Apparently the work they’ve done on the game so far is a pitch for Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld who have never put efforts into a Seinfeld game before. The duo hopes to get an official contract that will let them fully-realize their dream Seinfeld point-and-click adventure through legitimate means rather than having to alter the gameplay to legally release it independently.

“Honestly, we are just huge fans of the show,” says a post on the official Seinfeld adventure website. “We both currently work full-time, Jacob in game development and Ivan in animation. However, this game is something we’ve been talking about for years and, in fact, it’s how we met. Our friendship is forged through a popular ‘90s sitcom.” An episode of the game will run about as long as the TV show and it will feature familiar locales, items, character, lines of dialogue, etc. Being long-time fans of Seinfeld ourselves, we hope they get the green light to realize their dream Seinfeld game.
