More Mysteries Unfold This July
With so many delays and disappointments (and death, and doom, and disaster) marking this season, it’s nice to see a trailer with a release date. Nicer still is when that trailer is for a banana-sandwiches-crazy game like Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise. Thankfully, July 10th isn’t all that far away, when you really think about it.
Embedded below, the trailer is a clear-cut homage to True Detective, with a little James Bond/Mad Men thrown in for good measure. Set in New Orleans this time around, curious players can expect a lot of crazy? Maybe quirky is the better word here. Deadly Premonition is every bit as weird as the rumors you’ve heard suggest it is. You can even catch up with the first one on the Nintendo Switch!
So far, the sequel is a Nintendo Switch exclusive. While this may disappoint some fans, somehow the series feels right at home on Nintendo’s console. The previous game is chock full of weird side quests and bizarre ideas. What better way to explore more of this skewed survival horror stuff than with motion controls and a touch screen? None of this is confirmed, don’t worry. But, doesn’t it make a certain awful sort of sense? Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise hits the Nintendo Switch on July 10th, 2020.
