Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla World Premiere Kicks Off Tomorrow

Assassin Vikings Have Been Confirmed

The Viking Age just got a whole lot more interesting. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft. The world premiere of the game is set to be revealed tomorrow morning. This means we will probably be treated to a new and flashy announcement trailer. Rumors hinting at the next AC game taking place in the Viking Age has been swirling around the internet for months. Now we know for sure that the rumors were true.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

The finer details about the game have not been released yet, but we can expect to hear a lot more about Valhalla tomorrow. The Assassin’s Creed franchise has experienced a bit of a renaissance with the last two titles. It looks as though Ubisoft is more confident than ever about their flagship series. The gameplay and atmosphere have really been improved upon compared to some of the titles that were released after AC3. The Viking world is in no shortage of amazing cultural practices and blood pumping historical events. Ubisoft has quite a tall order to fill with this one.

It will be interesting to see how the developers are able to tackle the lack of major cities in this time period. The wall climbing and parkour elements that the Assassin’s Creed franchise is known for might have to be tweaked a little bit to better accommodate the lack of urban sprawl that was present in Dark Ages Europe at this time.

Expect to see an AC game that is much more focused on things like exploration and sailing as well. It would be a huge let down if piloting longships or taking part in Viking raids was pushed to the sides.  We could see a lot of things from Black Flag make a return as maritime travel becomes a focal point of Valhalla.
