After a Year of Waiting, It’s Finally HereÂ
Apex Legends has been a major player in the battle royale scene for some time now. It has had its ups and downs but has managed to carve out a loyal fanbase. Something that it was struggling to do when it first launched in early 2019. Apex has done a good job of listening to what fans want and has acted accordingly. New characters and tons of new features have been added to the game since launch and the community has reacted very positively to these changes. However, there was still one thing that has always been missing. The ability to rejoin a game that you were kicked from.
It is not uncommon for your internet to temporarily give out and disconnect you from a game. It happens to the best of us. However, whenever this would happen in Apex Legends, it would mean the end of the game. There was no ability to rejoin. This feature is something that has been commonly used for years now. Mosty competitive games allow people to reconnect to the match if they are booted.. For whatever reason, EA was very slow to add this to their game.
The developers of Apex decide to focus on maintaining strong servers rather than adding a reconnect feature. But now this has all changed. There is no clear timetable for when a rejoin option is going to be available. But according to Josh Medina, a producer at Respawn, he said this long-awaited feature is coming “real soon.”
Apex Legends might not be at the top of the battle royale totem pole but it is still worth your time to play. If you like fast-paced gunfights and heart-pumping action this is probably the battle royale game for you.
