Empire of Tomorrow, Today
The drama of professional wrestling may be fake, but the stunts are real, the muscles are real, the syringes are real, and the problems with WWE 2K20 are real. Still, if you are a fan who has invested in this game, you may be happy to know that the final WWE 2K20 Originals DLC is out now. It seems that everyone, including 2K, is jumping on that Cyberpunk hype. The last of the Originals is called Empire of Tomorrow, a futuristic story of hackers, android, and super corporations.
Empire of Tomorrow introduces four new Story Towers titled On the Hunt, Malfunction Detected, Neo-Osaka Security Corporation, and Heist of the Millennium. It also adds new characters to play as; Hacker Asuka, Chairwoman Bliss, A-Mech-Sa Bliss, Daemon Sonya Deville, CyberNaomi, Anti-Virus Carmella, N14-J4X, and Hacker Johnny Gargano. Players can wrestle in two new arenas, and get new clothing options and (I don’t want to say weapons) “props”, which include futuristic designed sledgehammers, baseball bats, and folding chairs. Apparently, those are still the weapons of choice for wrestlers.
Each WWE 2K20 Original is priced at $14.99 USD, but anyone who has purchased the Deluxe, Collector’s Edition, or the Backstage Pass can download them for free. Hopefully 2K has been working away at that laundry list of issues plaguing the game, so not to lose too many players and keep them around for this DLC. WWE 2K20 is out now on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
