Full of Delicious Details Ahead of Next Month
Trials of Mana is just over a month away from being released. In the interim, Square Enix has released a massive new trailer for fans to soak up and dissect. The trailer is packed with various gameplay systems on prominent display. You can check out the whole dang thing below!
To break it down, the latest Trials of Mana trailer touches on a few story details, multiple gameplay systems, and a little of that sweet, sweet English voice acting. Your party is on the hunt for a series of Mana Stones, which presumably need to be collected to… save the world? Certain story beats are altered slightly depending on which three party members you choose, which is great fuel for multiple playthroughs.
More importantly, you can change every character’s class designation. Doing so lets you improve stats and learn new abilities. There are around 500 abilities to master, which hopefully means you can spend time crafting some true powerhouse party members. There’s no word on whether the weird old stat-specific bugs are still in place. We also don’t know what exactly has changed with the combat system, or what lessons Square Enix has learned from the last Mana remake. Trials of Mana is coming to the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch on April 24th, 2020.
