New Eff’in Content
While the main Borderlands series is as strong as ever, there is part of it that feels a little left behind. Telltale’s entry in the universe has kind of been a one-off. The effects of its story have been felt in the final Borderlands 2 DLC and in Borderlands 3, but Tales From the Borderlands was an experience that fans have wanted more of. Unfortunately, those calls have gone unanswered. However, new evidence shows that new life may be being breathed into the title. A trailer for Tales From the Borderlands Redux has leaked and it appears to be pretty legit.
A couple of cellphone video quality videos have surfaced on Imgur showing the trailer in two parts. The two videos show various scenes from the episodic game and will apparently have new content, such as a “bonus mini-episode” similar to the one at the end of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm. There will also be an option for commentary through the episodes, like a movie. The trailer ends with a 2020 release window and a mysterious “2”, as well as a prompt to go to talesfromtheborderlands.com, but it does not appear that the page is active. Then again, this trailer was not meant to be out yet.
Tales From the Borderlands is already out on PC and all current consoles, with the exception of the Switch, so would it just come out again? And will the new content expand on the ambiguous ending? We are excited to see these questions answered, so hopefully the official trailer will come out soon. Tales From the Borderlands is out on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PC, and mobile platforms.
