Whoops. That Wasn’t Supposed to Happen
The latest Mortal Kombat character Spawn is now fully available. The players can now take control of Spawn to discover his long list of new moves and brutal fatalities. However, while Spawn and the other DLC characters have been a great addition to the game, many fans are still hungry to see what else is on the horizon for Mortal Kombat 11. Fans have done some digging and have found a list of three new names in the files of the game.
The names Ash, Sheeva, and Fujin have all popped up in the deep files of Mortal Kombat 11. Many are convinced that the Ash that is mentioned in the files is the Ash from Evil Dead, the famous cult classic horror film from the 1980s. Evil Dead is well known for its over the top gore and shock value, something that it has in common with Mortal Kombat. Sheeva and Fujin, on the other hand, have already made their appearances in previous Mortal Kombat games.
Fan reception to this has been mixed. Many are a little underwhelmed at the thought of two unoriginal characters. While Ash will most likely be a very welcome character, the same cannot be said about Sheeva and Fujin. MK11 fans have been clamoring for other horror characters to be added to the game like Micheal Myers or Chucky.
Mortal Kombat 11 and other previous titles have always had a special relationship with horror movies. However, it now looks as though Nether Realms is going to try and go for a bit of a nostalgia trip in order to please the community. Regardless of what new characters come next, no one has a gun to anyone’s head forcing them to buy them. You can still have fun with all the vanilla characters.
