Despite Developers Working From Home Cyberpunk 2077 Should Still Release in September

The Magic of Technology

The recent coronavirus outbreak has and will continue to limit the lives of millions of people around the world. Most people are being encouraged to work from home and engage in self-isolation in order to slow the spread of the deadly disease. This might be a major inconvenience for some, but not CD Projekt Red, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077. According to the Polish studio, everything is still going to be completed on time despite having its employees work from home.

CD Projekt Red has promised fans that they will still be able to push their game across the finish line regardless of these unforeseen and tragic circumstances. This is obviously great news for fans who have been waiting for more than 7 years for Cyberpunk 2077 to release. The game was originally meant to drop early this year but was then delayed until September 2020. Most forms of entertainment like sports and the development of TV shows and movies have ground to a halt. It is nice to see that games are able to overcome certain obstacles that others cannot. If we are going to have to spend a while in self-isolation, then at least we will always have video games to pass the time.

As far as we know, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be made for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, it looks as though the next generation of consoles is going to be delayed thanks to the virus. Cyberpunk will be dropping for PC, PS4, and Xbox One too. So if you cannot wait for the new hardware to hit stores, then you could always revert back to the older consoles.

Hopefully, everything goes according to plan and we get to see Cyberpunk 2077 on September 17th, 2020.
