There Will Be a Final Fantasy VII Remake Fighting Arena

Broke the First Rule

Square Enix released a bunch of new screenshots today for Final Fantasy VII Remake. They introduce us to new characters and locations. Because the Remake is just one portion of the original game, a lot of iconic and fun places would naturally be missing. Fortunately, some things will be added and moved around so that players won’t miss out on these experiences just because of where the game takes place. For instance, there will be a Final Fantasy VII Remake fighting arena in Wall Market.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Fighting Arena

For those who have played the original game, you may remember Battle Square located at the Gold Saucer. It was a fighting mini-game where a single character would face waves of enemies and endure modifiers that would make matches more difficult. This was a way of earning powerful weapons and items. It seems that a form of this mini-game will be returning in the Remake, only it will be called Corneo’s Colosseum and will be located at Wall Market. No details on if it will follow the same rules as Battle Square, but it appears that multiple characters can participate.

The screenshots also show new characters such as Madam M; she runs the hand-massage parlour, Chocobo Sam; he works for Don Corneo and runs Sam’s Delivery, and Leslie Kyle; he is described as Corneo’s lackey. There is an enemy called Corneo’s Lackey in the original game, so this is their way of returning. You can also check out “Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake” that was also released today. Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch on April 10th, exclusively on PS4.
