Digital Distancing
During these uncertain times, it can be hard to take your mind off the Coronavirus. Luckily, there are people in every industry trying their best to make self-isolation and social distancing a bit easier. Publishers are donating money to healthcare workers and sometimes giving their games away for free or low costs to keep people at home. Of course, there are also in-game events being held to encourage gamers to stay at home and keep their minds occupied. Though we must practice social distancing, it is still important to stay connected. That is why Gearbox is holding their Borderlands 3 Co-op Loot Drop Event.
This event will run from the end of March to the end of April. The event is pretty simple; play in a co-op game and badass enemies will drop more loot. It would be pretty easy to ignore if it weren’t for all the other Borderlands 3 content updates that have or will soon drop. The second major DLC pack is out and a new event for Takedowns is active. On top of this month-long Loot Drop Event, there will also be smaller week-long events sprinkled throughout April. Right now, the Door Busters Event is live, during which all vending machines will hold Legendary items.
The Door Busters Event will certainly help players rotate out their old gear. That will be useful since the level cap has also increased, so you gots to get higher level weapons, boo! Next week, a brand new event will replace Door Busters. Gearbox’s generosity does not stop there; the seasonal items from the Bloody Harvest and Heart Breakers events will also be sent out to all players, making my grinding for nothing, so enjoy! Borderlands 3 is out now on PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One.
