They Can’t Keep’em On the Shelf
As bizarre as this partnership might be, world-renown shoe company Adidas and video game superstar Ninja teamed up in December to create a one of a kind shoe together. The shoe launched today to kick off the new decade and they sold out in less than an hour. Fans flooded online stores across the internet and now there are none left for the immediate future.
Since all of the official retailers are out of stock, private sales have taken over. Some people are selling these shoes on Craigslist or e-Bay for around $250 (USD). Despite the fact that Ninja’s shoes only go for $150 in stores. You might get lucky and find a good deal somewhere, but chances are you’ll have to wait a while if you want a pair.
The shoes themselves have a very interesting and “video game-like” look to them. They are light blue with a loud yellow trim. The shoes also have the words “Time In” and “Ninja” on the sides of them just to add a little bit of flair.
Ninja has had an incredibly successful 2019 and it looks like that is going to continue in 2020. The internet superstar has made numerous appearances on mainstream talk shows, podcasts, news segments and more. Not to mention that he recently made the move from Twitch to Mixer for an obscene amount of money coming his way.
Who knows what the year is going to have in store for the young celebrity, but it should be interesting. There have been plenty of people who have found fame on the internet, but none have really profited off of it like Ninja. The 28-year-old has a reported net worth of 16 million dollars. He clearly has a knack for business that others do not.
