Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX Is Coming to Nintendo Switch
During the recent Pokemon centric Nintendo Direct, a remastered version of the original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon titles was announced for the Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX releases on March 6th 2020 but Pokemon fans will apparently have access to a demo today on the Nintendo eShop. Developed by Spike Chunsoft, the original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is focused on a human that becomes a Pokemon and joins teams of other Pokemon to uncover his identity and Rescue Team DX will follow the same story.
The demo for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX will have saves that carry over to the title if gamers choose to buy it, allowing their progress transfer to the full version. Gamers will do jobs such as delivering items or rescuing other Pokemon from randomly generated dungeons with roguelike elements. Gamers can join three other Pokemon in their Rescue Team to defeat foes in turn-based battles, with each Pokemon having strengths and weaknesses just like in the mainline series.
Since the original titles that Rescue Team DX is based on released on the GBA in 2006, it was certainly due for a visual overhaul and will hopefully bring new fans to the Mystery Dungeon series. Gamers will have to manage their teammates by feeding them, find somewhere to stay from build camps to house and discover what strengthens their Rescue Team. The Mystery Dungeon titles are great for bringing more character to the familiar Pokemon and fans of the first few generations will appreciate getting to know their favorite Pokemon a little bit more.
